Court of Accounts recalls election account filing deadline

In a statement dated 26 October, the Court of Accounts reminded parliamentary candidate-list representatives that campaign accounts must be filed within 90 days of the proclamation of the final results of the 23 September 2026 election.

Accounts must set out funding sources, expenditure and annexed tables. The Court links this requirement to its constitutional role in overseeing electoral spending.

The procedure relayed by MAP combines electronic filing on the dedicated platform and submission of a signed copy with supporting documents to the relevant registry. The 26 October reminder does not restart the 90-day period: its starting point remains the proclamation of final results.
