Watters said the company had already added facilities during the preceding six months and attributed the expansion to artificial intelligence demand. He declined to identify every location for security reasons.

The interview also describes customers' interest in data sovereignty and continuity arrangements in another country. Banks would need regulatory approval for such arrangements. The proposed timetable remains a supplier forecast, with no public list of new sites or evidence of their future commissioning.

The stated aim is to let employees find information and complete approved finance, procurement or planning tasks within their organization's permissions.

Oracle also presented AI Security Mesh for security testing, App Composer for building applications with Codex, and a bundle for small businesses. US customers can purchase access to OpenAI products through Oracle Marketplace. Oracle says future-feature timing, pricing and scope may change: the announcements alone do not establish availability or operational benefits.

The partners say OCI will be the first hyperscale cloud outside Google to offer the processors. Oracle will provide data-center power, cooling and networking.

The chips are intended for both model training and production use, known as inference. The agreement expands the announced hardware choices for Oracle customers, but performance and savings claims remain those of the suppliers. The announcements give neither customer pricing nor an initial capacity figure; they do not announce immediate availability.
