Oracle plans more data centres in the UAE and Saudi Arabia
Oracle plans to expand its data centres in the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia over the next six months, regional executive Cormac Watters told The National in an interview published on 29 October 2026.
Watters said the company had already added facilities during the preceding six months and attributed the expansion to artificial intelligence demand. He declined to identify every location for security reasons.
The interview also describes customers' interest in data sovereignty and continuity arrangements in another country. Banks would need regulatory approval for such arrangements. The proposed timetable remains a supplier forecast, with no public list of new sites or evidence of their future commissioning.
