Mithril's founder used Claude to coordinate eleven external laboratories. Anthropic reports promising results in mice and envisages human trials as early as late 2028 if the candidates continue to progress. The acquisition price was not disclosed.

The partnerships cover molecule design, optimization and manufacturing documentation, among other work. These early results are reported by the organizations involved and remain mostly preclinical; they do not yet demonstrate a new treatment's safety or effectiveness in patients.
