The 28 October opening programme at Espace Julien features a discussion about the need for storytelling, followed by Fred Nevché’s Loghofète, ou le prénom perdu. The festival combines debates, literature and artistic performances focused on the Mediterranean.

A reorganisation notice says no events will take place on 31 October because of announced social protests. Meetings are moved to 30 October and 1 November; the major Averroès interview and the Arab Spring masterclass are announced as cancelled. Visitors should therefore avoid relying on the original programme alone.
