The challenge is to programme robots to return books to shelves and storage areas at Mohammed bin Rashid Library. The teams come from six universities operating in the UAE.

Dubai Future Labs organises the competition with university partners and the library. The final is due to be open to the public, with cash prizes and scholarships announced for the winners. Selection precedes the demonstrations; it does not mean these robots have already entered service in libraries.
