Utopiales opens in Nantes under the theme “Perspectives”
The Utopiales international science fiction festival opens in Nantes on 29 October 2026 and runs until 1 November. It brings together literature, film, comics, games and scientific discussions under the theme “Perspectives”.
The Cité des Congrès remains the main venue, with nearby spaces also hosting events. Nantes Université researchers join several research organisations in the programme; Thursday’s discussions include living at sea and imaginary cartography.
Renovation work changes visitor access: according to practical information reported by Économie Matin, entry is through the Grande Halle and the on-site ticket office is outside, opposite the building. The opening begins four days of meetings; attendance figures have yet to be established.
