The national precious substances company inaugurated a gold purchasing office in Tenkodogo's Cité du 11-Décembre, Burkina Faso, on 29 October 2026, Faso7 and Burkina24 report.

The service is intended for local artisanal miners and collectors. Management announced an official sales channel and artisanal miner cards to identify participants.

Patindé Abraham Kaboré was installed as head of the office, according to Faso7. The opening extends the company's network following Bobo-Dioulasso, Banfora and Gaoua.

Traceability and secure transactions are SONASP's stated objectives. The volumes of gold that will actually pass through the new office remain to be observed.
