The consultations concern municipal, provincial and regional councils, professional chambers, employee representatives and the House of Councillors. The meeting followed talks the previous day with parties represented by parliamentary groups or groupings.

The ministry envisages reusing electoral integrity measures applied to the 23 September legislative elections, according to the statement. Written proposals will inform potential amendments, which must subsequently follow the legislative process. The consultation therefore constitutes neither adopted new rules nor an announcement of precise polling dates.
