Sky Sports and Sportschau report that the match finished in under an hour. Zverev won the opening set without dropping a game and conceded only two games in the second.

The victory sends him into the Erste Bank Open semi-finals. The No. 1 position was already secured before this match, but it will become official only in the ATP rankings issued on Monday 2 November. The 30 October result is therefore a new tournament qualification, separate from the ranking announcement.
