Tencent launches Hy4 with vision and computer control

Tencent launched Hy4 on 4 November 2026, adding image understanding and software operation to its AI model. The company says model weights and a safety card will follow; their release remains a future step.

Tencent says the model combines command-line and graphical interfaces, with training for Blender and computer-aided design software. It is available through WorkBuddy, CodeBuddy and Tencent Cloud services.

The capabilities and improvements described are the developer’s claims. Hy4 Flash, intended to cut costs, is still listed as forthcoming. Hy4’s launch therefore does not establish immediate access to its weights or a simultaneous Flash release.

In China, Buddy One links work applications to a single agent with a shared account and credits. Pandaily reports that cross-application shared memory remains a planned later feature.
