Talent Nation announces funding to expand African AI engineering training
Talent Nation, co-founded by Iyinoluwa Aboyeji and Kesiah Valkin, announced pre-seed funding on 29 October 2026 to train and place African AI engineers. The amount was not disclosed.
Enza Capital and LocalGlobe led the round, according to Disrupt Africa. The company reports about 1,400 learners across nine campuses and more than 63,000 applications.
Its academy charges no upfront tuition and funds its model through work for enterprise clients. Training one million engineers in ten years remains an ambition. The reported figures do not by themselves establish course completion rates or lasting job placements.
