Qatar: Claudinho receives six-match ban and QR1 million fine
Qatar Football Association’s disciplinary committee announced a six-match suspension and a QR1 million fine for Al-Sadd’s Claudinho, according to reports published on 3 November 2026. The sanction concerns his conduct after the 30 October match against Al-Shamal.
The player was also ordered to cover damage caused by throwing the Man of the Match trophy, reports of the decision say. The Peninsula states that the measures were taken under the 2026–2027 disciplinary regulations.
These are disciplinary consequences of the eighth round, rather than a new match result. The decision affects the player’s availability for Al-Sadd; the reviewed material establishes no outcome of any appeal.
