National Press Award: applications extended to 10 November

Morocco’s Communication Department announced on 30 October 2026 that applications for the 2026 National Press Award would remain open until 10 November, according to its statement carried by MAP.

The extension is intended to give journalists time to complete their applications. Eligible work must have appeared in a national media outlet between 1 October 2025 and 30 September 2026.

Applicants must, among other conditions, be Moroccan, have at least three years of professional experience and hold a current press card. Categories include Amazigh-language journalism and work on Hassani Saharan culture and space. The announcement extends the entry period; it does not name winners.
