AFP reports that Gargash argued another round of confrontation would not serve the region's interests. Arabic-language accounts also highlight his call to restore navigation through the Strait of Hormuz.

In a post following the closing session, reported by Iran International, the adviser again prioritised political and diplomatic solutions. These statements describe the UAE's position; they announce neither a US-Iran agreement nor a return to normal maritime traffic.

In Manama, Egypt advocates Gulf security and diplomatic solutions

Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty told the Manama Dialogue in Bahrain on 31 October 2026 that Gulf security is part of Egypt’s national security. He urged diplomatic responses to regional crises.

The minister advocated respect for state sovereignty, non-interference and protection of maritime navigation and vital infrastructure. He also proposed stronger early-warning arrangements to prevent conflicts from escalating.

Abdelatty linked regional stability to a settlement of the Palestinian question and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state. These principles represent Egypt’s position at the summit; they do not amount to participants adopting a joint security mechanism.
