Qatar ministry reports 7,024 women screened over nine months

Qatar’s Ministry of Public Health outlined its October breast cancer awareness campaign on 31 October 2026. It says 7,024 women underwent mammograms through the screening programme between January and the end of September 2026.

The ministry says thirteen activities were organised in workplaces, schools and community centres, alongside a digital information campaign. Partners include the primary care provider, Hamad Medical Corporation, Sidra Medicine and Qatar Cancer Society.

The screening figure covers nine months: it is neither a count of new cancer cases nor the outcome of the October campaign alone. The information presented does not establish an effect of that campaign on the number of diagnoses.
