The minister estimates the cost of restoring compensation at MAD 50–70 billion. This is his assessment, not an independent costing. He favours storage capacity and competition to improve the sector’s functioning.

Reports also describe parliamentary proposals for flexible taxation and limits on margins. At this stage, the debate does not establish an announced reduction in pump prices or a new rule adopted.

Médias24 reports increases ranging from 50 centimes to one dirham across stations. Le Site Info cites a source at the service-station operators’ federation and describes a one-dirham diesel increase and a 10-centime petrol reduction.

Absolute prices and the size of petrol reductions differ across publications and distributors. These indications therefore do not establish a uniform national price list: the amount displayed at each station needs to be checked.
