Illuminated dragon closes Hong Kong’s 20th Tai Kok Tsui fair
The 20th Tai Kok Tsui Temple Fair took over Fuk Tsun Street in Hong Kong on 1 November 2026. An LED-lit dragon about 500 feet, or 152 metres, long travelled along the street in the evening, according to TVB’s on-site report.
The broadcaster’s images and interviews show the dragon moving to percussion among residents and visitors. The Sha Tau Kok fish lantern dance also featured in the parade, part of a programme centred on Hung Shing Temple.
The tourism board had advertised free admission, lion dances, stalls and a parade. TVB reported about 180,000 attendances over the day; no independent count is available in the sources consulted. That total does not establish the number of individual visitors.
