Where things stand

On 1 November 2026, the forum opens in Nansha. Scientific reporting documents 67 energy technologies being presented and 24 cooperation projects being signed.

Nansha forum showcases 67 energy technologies

A presentation of 67 energy technologies from 17 Chinese Academy of Sciences institutes accompanied the opening of the Greater Bay Area Science Forum on 1 November 2026 in Nansha, Guangzhou. Two original reports describe meetings between researchers and Guangdong companies.

The work presented covers advanced nuclear energy, storage, hydrogen, smart grids and renewable energy, among other fields. China Science Daily’s reporter observed a selection of fifteen representative achievements intended for industrial exchanges.

The same report records 24 cooperation projects signed between Academy institutes and Guangdong companies in fields including new materials and biotechnology. Displaying a result and signing an agreement do not establish a new start of production: the sources provide no implementation results for these agreements.
