Plans include laboratories, scientific centres and incubators. The National reports a location in Zabeel Park and envisaged delivery within five years. Artificial intelligence, advanced technologies and healthcare are among the intended fields.

The campus is to form part of the research and innovation ecosystem overseen by Dubai Future Foundation. Authorities describe closer links between researchers and companies as a way to turn scientific work into economic applications. These plans do not yet constitute research results or an opening to the public.
