The unemployment rate reached 30.5% among 15-24-year-olds and 16.7% among women. The composite labour-underutilisation indicator stood at 19.6%, capturing unmet demand for work beyond unemployment alone.

The figures come from the EMO survey, which replaces the former national employment survey and defines strict unemployment using active job search and availability, among other criteria. The changed framework requires the series to be distinguished. A net quarterly change alone does not establish a structural loss of jobs.
