Courses will be expected to explain their ranking criteria and automated processing more clearly. Applicants should also receive explanations for rejections. The system announced for 2028 remains to be designed: Parcoursup has not been abolished for the next admissions round.

The education package also includes the announced cancellation of 836 planned job cuts in public secondary education and 500 additional teaching posts for high schools. Ministers presented these commitments as a response to overcrowding and academic pressure.

Detailed implementation, budget provisions and changes requiring legislation remain separate steps from the announcement itself.
