Mbappé opened the scoring in the 41st minute. Raphinha equalised in the 61st before the French forward struck the late winner from Eduardo Camavinga’s pass. LaLiga’s official match record places the second goal in the 87th minute.

Barcelona remain top of the league despite the home defeat. The result tightens the race at the summit without changing the leader.

Real Madrid say the brace takes Mbappé to one hundred goals for the club. This was the first league Clasico of the season, with José Mourinho’s side securing the away win.
