The committee is intended to bring the relevant departments together regularly to monitor market fluctuations and coordinate measures to protect purchasing power. Particular attention is announced for products in high demand during Ramadan.

The head of government referred to pressures on low-income and middle-income households. The reports describe a monitoring mechanism; they do not establish a new price reduction or an additional amount of aid paid to households.
