DR Congo cholera: WHO reports around 1,800 deaths since January
WHO reported more than 60,000 cholera cases and around 1,800 deaths in DR Congo since the beginning of the year on 4 November 2026, AFP reports.
The organisation is concerned about spread along the Congo River basin. The announced figures are cumulative and do not measure deaths on a single day.
MSF separately describes overlapping cholera, Ebola and other healthcare needs in the east. Conflict, displacement and difficulties accessing water and healthcare complicate the response.
