Khalifa and Sanofi announce UAE genomic study on asthma and COPD
Khalifa University and Sanofi announced on 4 November 2026 an agreement to study genetic factors associated with asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in the UAE.
The partnership plans a genome-wide association study, the university says. The team is to analyse Emirati Genome Program and Malaffi data after onboarding to the Abu Dhabi Department of Health’s secure research environment.
