Sworn translators: Council approves implementing decree for Law 52.23
Morocco’s Government Council approved draft decree 2.26.470 implementing Law 52.23 on sworn translators on 5 November 2026, according to its account and spokesperson Samir Belfkih’s statement reported by MAP.
The text governs the entry examination, transfer criteria and professional fees, as well as civil liability insurance. It also provides models for professional registers and the daily record of translation work.
The professional card and identification models are to be set by the authority responsible for Justice. Approval is a regulatory step; the reviewed sources do not yet establish publication in the Official Bulletin or an actual opening date for the entry examination.
