Where things stand

As of 5 November 2026, the target of over $4 billion in operating annualized revenue is delayed to January 2027, with a possible extension to late February.

IREN delays Microsoft deliveries and shifts annualized revenue target into 2027

IREN announced delays to some Microsoft AI infrastructure on 5 November 2026. Its target of over $4 billion in operating annualized revenue moves from year-end 2026 to January 2027 and could slip to late February.

The company attributes the shift to a customer-requested network change and supplier timing. IREN says delays associated with Microsoft's requested changes will not trigger financial penalties.

For the quarter ended 30 September, IREN reports $228 million in revenue, including $200 million from AI cloud, up from $71 million for that business in the previous quarter. The $4 billion threshold is a targeted annualized operating pace, not a year of sales already collected.
