The tool aims to match businesses’ purchasing needs with production capacity available in the region. Target sectors include leather, textiles, food processing, construction materials, mechanical engineering and packaging.

Organisers want to develop local sourcing and the use of industrial by-products. A production residue could thereby be identified as a potential input for another activity, according to the stated objectives.

The CRI’s prior announcement and reports dated 5 November document the transition from scheduling to presentation of the platform. They do not yet establish active business numbers, contracts signed or savings achieved.
