Official figures carried by several Bangladeshi newsrooms put the totals since January at 389 deaths and 126,166 hospital admissions. These numbers describe patients recorded in the hospital system, rather than all infections in the population.

The daily update covers the period ending on 26 October. The consulted reports rely on the same health authority communication; their agreement is not an independent count of cases.
