The general assembly took place alongside the Youth Olympic Games. Hajij already chairs the African Volleyball Confederation and is a vice-president of the international federation.

According to the CAVB, her priorities include closer cooperation among confederations, sports infrastructure and greater support for young people and women. The Olympic body also outlines a roadmap towards Los Angeles 2028. These are announced priorities; their implementation has yet to produce documented results.
