Abu Dhabi’s Department of Culture and Tourism announced the creation of Youth Orchestra Abu Dhabi on 26 October 2026. Its institution is scheduled to open in Mina Zayed in January 2027, with an initial cohort of up to 100 children aged six to nine.

The programme plans free tuition and instruments at no charge. It will combine Western classical music and Arabic musical traditions in a training pathway lasting several years.

The venue is to include a 600-seat hall and 18 rehearsal and practice rooms, according to the department. Enrolment for the first cohort is announced for October 2026. The announcement concerns a forthcoming institution and its planned programme; it does not report children already trained.
