Bulgaria’s election commission declares Iotova and Valchev elected

Bulgaria’s Central Election Commission declared Iliana Iotova and Kiril Valchev elected president and vice-president on 3 November 2026. The decision formalises the result of the 1 November runoff.

According to final figures reported by public broadcaster BNR, the pair received 1,093,852 votes, or 57.566%. Andrey Gyurov and Georgi Kandev received 750,251 votes, or 39.483%.

Previously available results were near-final. The new milestone is the commission’s proclamation, distinct from exit polls and provisional tallies. It does not mean the new term has already begun.
