CGEM and Rahhou seek simpler procedures and stronger startup support

CGEM and Minister Ahmed Rahhou agreed to pursue joint work on administrative procedures, public data, artificial intelligence and startups, according to accounts of their November 3, 2026 meeting in Casablanca.

The business confederation proposes redesigning procedures beyond simply digitising them and examining whether specifications could replace certain prior authorisations. It also wants businesses to make better use of public data.

Discussions covered training for AI-related skills and a shared definition of startups for public support schemes. These are announced work priorities; the reports do not establish an enacted regulatory reform or economic results.
