Ouagadougou opens SIIBA BIM AfriK on construction’s digital transformation

Published

The second edition of SIIBA BIM AfriK opened in Ouagadougou on 5 November 2026. The three-day gathering brings together building, civil-engineering and rail professionals to discuss digital transformation, Faso7 reports.

Organisers schedule conferences and panels on 5 and 6 November, alongside business meetings and BIM training in the programme. BIM refers to the use of digital models and information in construction projects.

The stated aim is to improve infrastructure design, delivery and management. The salon’s opening does not itself establish a signed rail contract or savings already achieved; such possible outcomes remain to be documented.
