Bangladesh’s Directorate General of Health Services reported five dengue deaths and 2,218 hospital admissions over the preceding 24 hours in its 26 October 2026 update.

Official figures carried by several Bangladeshi newsrooms put the totals since January at 389 deaths and 126,166 hospital admissions. These numbers describe patients recorded in the hospital system, rather than all infections in the population.
