Qatar’s Mesaieed reports QR427.9 million nine-month loss

Mesaieed Petrochemical Holding reported on 26 October 2026 a net loss of approximately 427.9 million Qatari riyals for the first nine months of the year, compared with a profit of QR519.7 million a year earlier.

Its third-quarter loss alone was around QR244.8 million, against a QR141 million profit in the third quarter of 2025, according to CNBC Arabia. The cumulative nine-month result must therefore be distinguished from the quarterly figure.

The company attributes the deterioration to logistics disruption and lower production and sales in petrochemicals and chlor-alkali activities, while fixed costs continued. That is the company’s explanation; it does not constitute a quantified forecast for the remainder of the year.
