Yemen: authorities report two missile strikes on Aden airport

Yemen's civil aviation authorities reported two missile strikes on Aden International Airport on 28 October 2026 and attributed them to the Houthis. The group also called for the airport's evacuation.

Spokesperson Yahya Saree justified the warning by alleging that a Saudi military aircraft carrying weapons was present. Reuters says residents heard explosions and that no Saudi response was available in its initial account.

The Yemeni army reports civilian injuries and damage, according to Al-Araby Al-Jadeed, without a numerical toll. Casualty numbers, the extent of damage and the site's operational status remain to be established. Assertions about the aircraft's cargo remain attributed to the Houthis.
