James Garner and Hayden Hackney put the hosts two goals ahead before half-time. Thierno Barry made it 3-0 in the second half before Dan Burn scored a late consolation.
The result sends Everton to Fleetwood Town in the next round, scheduled for December. The League Two club had eliminated Arsenal earlier in the week.
