Mohammed VI presents the draft new Constitution

On 17 June 2011, Mohammed VI presents the draft new Constitution to the nation. The address follows the reform announced on 9 March and prepares the referendum.

The text sets out institutional changes and recognizes Amazigh as an official language alongside Arabic. Presentation of the draft is separate from promulgation and publication in the Official Bulletin in July.
