South Korea: Ilsan Paik announces an ICU AI early-warning tool

Inje University’s Ilsan Paik Hospital in Goyang announced the introduction of AITRICS VitalCare in intensive care on 30 October 2026, Korean medical reporting says. The tool estimates risks of patient deterioration.

It analyses nineteen medical-record variables: six vital signs, eleven blood-test values, consciousness and age. The hospital describes its alerts as support for clinicians deciding on tests and care priorities.

The announcement concerns deployment of decision support. Reviewed sources provide neither a measured mortality reduction in this unit nor an evaluation timetable. Predictions do not replace clinical judgment.
