Fifteen ultra-thin condom products recalled on the European market

France’s consumer watchdog DGCCRF announced on 30 October 2026 the withdrawal and recall of fifteen ultra-thin condom products made by a Malaysian manufacturer. French authorities report defects that may cause breakage or perforation.

According to the statement, the affected products represent around seven million condoms in the European Union, only some of which are sold in France. This is the volume covered, not a count of observed failures. France is suspending their marketing and importation for one year, renewable.

Consumers should check product names and batches on RappelConso or with the seller and stop using affected products. Authorities recommend testing for sexually transmitted infections after using non-compliant products and taking a pregnancy test if a period is late; a doctor or a CeGIDD sexual health centre can provide guidance.
