Zverev beats Fery 6-0, 6-2 to reach Vienna semi-finals

Alexander Zverev defeated Britain’s Arthur Fery 6-0, 6-2 in the Vienna quarter-finals on 30 October 2026. The German continued his run after securing his forthcoming rise to world No. 1 the previous day.

Sky Sports and Sportschau report that the match finished in under an hour. Zverev won the opening set without dropping a game and conceded only two games in the second.

The victory sends him into the Erste Bank Open semi-finals. The No. 1 position was already secured before this match, but it will become official only in the ATP rankings issued on Monday 2 November. The 30 October result is therefore a new tournament qualification, separate from the ranking announcement.
