Automotive exports total MAD 132.11 billion, an annual increase of 14.3%. Agriculture and agri-food reach MAD 72.43 billion, up 10.7%, while textiles and leather fall 5% to MAD 32.15 billion, according to reporting by Morocco World News and MAP.
Export growth does not offset the rise in imports. Hespress, which says it consulted the provisional bulletin, reports imports of MAD 707.99 billion, up 17%, against exports of MAD 384.05 billion, up 10.7%. The deficit consequently increases 25.4%. This goods balance is separate from services receipts and remittances from Moroccans abroad.
