Aramco: attack reported in Dhahran, extent of damage remains uncertain

An Aramco administrative building in Dhahran, eastern Saudi Arabia, was attacked on the evening of 13 October 2026, according to the Saudi energy ministry. Authorities report a limited fire with no injuries or deaths, while media sources describe more extensive damage.

Yemen’s Houthis claimed attacks on Aramco facilities on 14 October. AFP and Associated Press report that claim, which does not by itself establish every target hit.

Reuters cites several informed sources as saying a fire spread across multiple floors. AP quotes two regional officials describing damage to floors used by executives. Employees interviewed by AFP also describe a tower being hit; the agency says it could not access the site to assess the damage.

Two Reuters sources say operations continue normally, with some employees asked to work from home. Aramco had not responded to the agency. These accounts alone do not establish any interruption of oil production.
