Alphabet taps euro debt market for €6 billion amid heavy AI spending

Alphabet launched a €6 billion bond offering across seven tranches on 2 November 2026, Reuters and Bloomberg reported. Google’s parent is returning to the euro debt market for the second time this year.

The offering includes one floating-rate and six fixed-rate tranches, with maturities of two to nineteen years, according to documents cited by Reuters. Demand reported by an arranging bank slightly exceeded €17 billion during placement.

The financing comes as Alphabet forecasts up to $205 billion in 2026 capital expenditure. However, net proceeds are intended for general corporate purposes, potentially including debt repayment: the amount is not an exclusively AI budget.

The order book measures investor interest, rather than additional proceeds received by Alphabet.
