Al-Ittihad’s market record shows closing levels of 5,770.73 points for Dubai and 9,466.34 for Abu Dhabi, down 0.81% and 0.12% respectively. These figures concern Friday’s session, distinct from the steeper declines the previous day.

Reuters also reported a 1.6% fall in Dubai Financial Market shares after the company disclosed a 4.3% decline in quarterly net profit. The agency linked the cautious mood to corporate earnings and regional tensions; that explanation is its assessment of the session.

Gulf stocks: Riyadh and Doha rise as Abu Dhabi falls

Dubai lost about 0.3% and Egypt's blue-chip index 1.6%. Riyadh's gain withstood a roughly 0.3% decline in Saudi Aramco; Reuters reports Saudi National Bank rose 0.7%.

The session took place amid energy and security risks. The Houthis had claimed a strike on Ras Tanura, with no immediate Saudi confirmation in Reuters' account. That claim and interpretations of investor sentiment do not establish damage to the refinery.

Dubai rose 0.3% and Abu Dhabi 0.6%. Kuwait gained around 2% and Oman 1.1%, while Bahrain slipped about 0.2%. These are rounded daily changes, rather than annual returns.

Reuters linked the rebound to hopes of de-escalation surrounding the Tehran talks and buying after recent declines. That interpretation of market drivers does not establish that a diplomatic settlement was reached. Egypt’s contrasting performance shows the session was not uniformly positive across the region.
