Oman announces over 500 activities for its science festival

Organisers presented the programme for the fifth Oman Science Festival on 27 October 2026. More than 500 activities and workshops are planned at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre from 2 November.

Scheduled to run for ten days under the Ministry of Education, the event will offer hands-on experiences involving artificial intelligence, robotics, space and sustainability. Health, the environment and agricultural technologies also feature among the announced themes.

The programme aims to connect students with scientific applications and the institutions developing them. Officials describe an effort to encourage discovery and introduce science study and career paths; the announced activities have yet to take place.
