Egypt outlines proposed South Korean cooperation on smart hospitals
Egypt’s Healthcare Authority reported on 27 October 2026 that it was discussing a cooperation memorandum with South Korea’s KHIDI for next March. The proposed areas include artificial intelligence and smart hospital management systems.
According to accounts of the authority’s statement, Ahmed El-Sobky and his Korean counterpart discussed technology transfer and training for technical staff. Their meeting took place earlier in October during the World Hospital Congress in Seoul.
March is a target for signing. The information released does not establish that the memorandum has been concluded or that equipment has been deployed in Egyptian facilities.
