RMB ranks Morocco fourth among African investment destinations
Morocco has moved ahead of South Africa into fourth place in Rand Merchant Bank’s 2026/2027 “Where to Invest in Africa” report, released on 27 October 2026, according to Moroccan and South African reporting.
Seychelles, Mauritius and Egypt retain the top three positions. Analyses of the report attribute Morocco’s rise to industrialisation, export diversification, infrastructure and macroeconomic stability.
The ranking examines 31 markets across several dimensions, including economic potential, market access, the investment climate and social and human development. It is a comparative assessment under that methodology, rather than a standalone measure of investment actually completed or of an individual project’s profitability.
